Chakras

Chakra is a Sanskrit word meaning wheel, or vortex, and it refers to each of the seven energy centres of which our consciousness, our energy system, is composed. In addition the chakras also correlate to levels of consciousness, The function of the chakras is to spin and draw in the Universal Life Force Energy in order to keep the spiritual, mental, emotional and physical health of the body in balance.

Chakras are the spiritual energy centres, believed necessary to maintain inner balance. They regulate the flow of Pranaalso energy around our energy system. Psychics talk about chakas with regards to healing. Psychics can also provide readings about a person's health. There are hundreds of Chakras in the body, but there are seven main ones. Each chakra is associated with a particular part of the body and radiates a specific colour, which some psychics can see; other psychics may be able to sense or feel the energy in the chakras. The colours simply represent, in order, the colours of the rainbow. A psychic healer can detect imbalance in a chakra and work towards re-balancing and cleaning them. Chakras resonate at different spiritual frequencies and look like lotus flowers with a fan-like circular shape. The seven chakras are often associated with the notes of the musical scale (C, D, E, F, G, A, B).

The root (Red) which is located at the base of the spine covers issues of survival, instinct and our connection with our bodies, the physical world. It is associated with the element earth.

The second or sacral chakra is coloured orange and is located just below the navel. It governs the correct functioning of emotions and our sexuality. It connects us to others through feeling, desire, sensation, and movement, and is closely associated with the element of water.

The third (Yellow) solar plexus chakra is related to energy, assimilation and digestion, and is said to correspond to the roles played by the pancreas and the outer adrenal glands. These play a valuable role in digestion, the conversion of food matter into energy for the body. It is associated with the element of fire.

The fourth (Green) This is the heart chakra. A healthy fourth chakra allows us to love deeply, feel compassion, have a deep sense of peace and centeredness. It is associated with the energy of Christ Consciousness and with the element of air.

The fifth (blue) The throat chakra, Vishuddha, is related to communication and growth, growth being a form of expression. It's the centre of creativity and self-expression

The sixth (royal blue) The third eye is located between the eyebrows. Ajna is the chakra of time and awareness and of light. It is related to the act of seeing, both physically and intuitively. As such it opens our psychic faculties and link and understanding of the astral planes. Most psychics gain their insights through the third eye.

The seventh (violet) is said to be the chakra of consciousness, the master chakra that controls all the others. The crown chakra connects us with the divine, the Universal energy or place of all knowing. When developed, this chakra brings us knowledge, wisdom, understanding, spiritual connection, and bliss.
